Onsite Activities
We offer a lot of onsite activities on our premises. Here's a list of what to look forward to: ping pong, slackline, yoga, fitness equipment, pool volleyball, a reading area, an ambient area, a coworking area, Nintendo 64, games, drinking games, entertaining activities and events at the hostel, depending on the season.
Offsite Activities
Learn how to surf or rent a board and enjoy the waves in El Paredon, Guatemala. Go for long beach walks on black volcanic sand and explore the natural gems on your way. Try Mangrove Climbing and admire the natural reserve or walk to La Boca Barra, where the river meets the ocean (40 min walking or by local boat 10 min).
WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO
Sipacate-Naranjo National Reserve
Get to know the preserved coastal marine ecosystem and explore the mangrove forests and lagoons which extend over an area of 20 km between the coastal towns of Sipacate and El Paredon. Besides the surfing along the kilometre stretch of black sand coastline, this area has many activities to offer like a turtle and salt farm tour by boat.
La Choza Chula
La Choza Chula provides skills, training and employment opportunities for community members in El Paredon funded by their social enterprise and donations. All profits go towards ensuring the community of El Paredon benefits from the growing tourism in the area and La Choza Chula's education projects include a library, a secondary school, a literacy program and much more.
SIPACATE NATIONAL PARK
Kayaking
Mangrove kayaking tours off the beaten path in the Sipacate-Naranjo Nature Reserve and kayak rental available. Booking at reception.
Turtle Release
The famous baby turtle release on the beach has it's season in November and December. Make sure to bring your camera. Booking at reception.
